Description
Metal train spikes on this track through Big Darby Creek Metro Park in central Ohio seem to be popping out, and not very safe for passing trains and the enormous amount of weight they carry. Does this kind of lack of maintenance lead to train crashes via track failure. Ohio had a super cold winter, did that pop these metal spikes out of the ground. This view is available at Darby Creek Drive, a short distance from Alkire Road. The train track is called Camp Chase and it crosses Darby Creek Drive. I confirmed that yes this track is still in use today. I keep replaying the images of train fires when trains tip over, oil and chemical spills…. Making calls on all this today. I was told they will send someone to check it on Friday. This image was taken on May 4, 2014. Art can change the world! I try to make mine useful.
